Our client, Association of British Columbia Marine Industries (ABCMI), has an exciting in-office opportunity in Sidney, BC, for an experienced, dynamic and detail-oriented Office Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Director, Projects and Stakeholder Relations, you will ensure the efficient day-to-day office administrative functions to support organizational effectiveness.

The Office Coordinator Role:
Your day will consist of coordinating processes, ensuring accurate documentation and information flow, with the responsibility of managing office operations, scheduling, records management, and administrative procedures. You demonstrate strong consistency, accountability, and operational stability. The Office Coordinator is a key support function within the organization contributing to service delivery, stakeholder confidence, and overall impact.
What this position offers you:
- A highly competitive salary of $57,300 – $64,200 per year (commensurate with related experience)
- A 35-hour work week – Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, staff, and external inquiries, providing professional and courteous assistance
- Coordinate incoming communications, answer and direct phone calls, respond to email inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate departments and/or personnel
- Provide clear and accurate information regarding organizational services and programs
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficient reception, office and administrative workflows
- Coordinate administrative and operational support for both in office and remote staff; Facilitate communication between teams by managing shared calendars, virtual meeting logistics, and information flow
- Manage office supplies and vendor relations (source, purchase and re-stock office supplies, and equipment and services, including business cards, swag, kitchen amenities, coffee)
- Office contract administration (e.g. photocopier) including sourcing, pricing negotiations, and vendor selection.
- Assist with coordinating events as required
- Maintain a positive office environment through effective communication and problem-solving
- Board package preparation
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for various engagements
The Office Coordinator we are looking for brings:
- A minimum of five (5) years of Office Coordinator experience is required, (and non-profit and marine industry experience are an asset)
- Tech savvy, with proficiency in Office 365, and virtual collaboration tools (including Zoom and Teams)
- Ability to attend local events, and candidate must have their own transportation
