Sol Solar Lighting Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Sunna Design, is a global leader in solar-powered commercial outdoor LED lighting solutions. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director in Bordeaux, France, you will be leading their North America marketing efforts, and designing a best-in-class communication strategy for the brand with an initial focus on social media content creation, and inbound marketing strategies. You will help shape the brand narrative, and take their communication strategy to new heights, particularly across social media platforms and inbound marketing efforts.

Sol will rely on your talent to produce a variety of content to fuel marketing efforts across all stages of the sales funnel (including blog articles, newsletters, white papers, etc.) and your ability to understand and write about solar technologies effectively will be highly valued. As their brand storyteller, you will convey the unique value of their solutions through high-impact messaging.

You will also manage and expand their online presence, creating captivating content that resonates with their B2B audience, and monitor digital trends to keep their brand ahead of the curve. Your keen eye on the competition will ensure your strategies remain competitive and distinctive.

Our ideal Communications Manager brings:

  • While a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred, an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience will also be considered.
  • Communications and social media marketing experience in the B2B space is highly preferred, with experience marketing to a technical audience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing social media platforms, analytics, and social media management tools in the context of B2B interactions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva, or similar creative platforms required.

Skills and Abilities that will help you thrive:

  • Strong creativity with the ability to capture an audience’s attention.
  • Excellent editing, writing and oral English communication skills with the ability to create compelling and concise content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical background or the ability to understand and write about solar technologies effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with teams in multiple locations across North America and in Europe.
