What could your day as the Social Media and Content Specialist hold?

  • Overseeing 5 company social media accounts including strategy, positioning, planning content, and reporting, and creating and managing monthly social media content calendars.
  • Creating dynamic content including copywriting, photography, and videos for digital channels (social media, websites, e-newsletters etc.)
  • Creating and publishing paid social media advertising campaigns using Facebook / Google Advertising with the help of graphic designers on the team.
  • Administrative duties (emails, internal and external communications, file organization).
  • Monthly Social Media reporting and Quarterly Competitor Analysis for all companies.

Our ideal Social Media and Content Specialist brings:

  • Post secondary education in marketing or communications, or equivalent skills and experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts and channels
  • 3+ years of experience copywriting for digital placements (social media, e-mail marketing, website)
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Good Photography and Videography skills (smartphone and camera)
  • Both design experience (Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience creating or editing graphics and animations (Illustrator, After Effect) would be an asset
  • Experience executing e-mail marketing campaigns and publishing paid social media advertising would be an asset
  • A driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle is required as you will travel to business locations to capture content (events, and more!)
