In addition to leading projects, you will be a trusted advisor to clients, a key contributor to business development, and an influential voice in operational and strategic decision-making.

Our Senior Building Science Engineer will:

Take a leadership role in engineering projects and business operations, driving both technical excellence and strategic growth. This includes:

  • Project Leadership and Execution: Leading complex engineering projects, overseeing assessments, and ensuring they are running smoothly. From site work to technical oversight, you will be hands-on, climbing scaffolding, squeezing into crawl spaces, and ensuring quality at every stage
  • Client and Relationship Management: Working directly with clients to identify services, writing proposals, securing contracts, and ensuring their expectations are being met, or better yet, exceeded.
  • Project Oversight: Managing project budgets, timelines, and key project milestones while ensuring efficiency and alignment with company goals.
  • Process Improvement: Playing a key role in refining workflows and enhancing operational efficiencies while ensuring the consistent delivery of top-tier quality.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Mentoring and developing junior employees while identifying future hiring needs to strengthen the team.
  • Business Strategy and Innovation: Helping to identify new opportunities, expanding and refining our existing services, and exploring potential expansions into new sectors.

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Building Science.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with EGBC.
  • Minimum 10 years of related professional experience with in-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code.
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching junior employees.
  • Technically sound in building science principles with significant experience in the full range of building envelope assemblies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently while mentoring and supporting junior staff.
  • A passion for collaborating with others and a commitment to delivering high-quality work where even the smallest details matter.
