If you are a Canadian Food and Beverage professional looking for your next great adventure, we are offering a unique contract opportunity as a Head Chef on one of the most beloved beaches in the Bahamas (some say one of the best in the world!).
This is a six-month contract for a Canadian-based seasoned chef to support Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort’s kitchen team. You’ll play a hands-on role in training and mentoring staff in quality food preparation, consistent portioning and plating, and cost-effective kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
As Head Chef, you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with the diverse kitchen team, lead by example, and bring a “Yes I Can” attitude to every service. You understand and appreciate the complexities of operating in a remote environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will also coordinate food and beverage service for special occasions and weddings, ensuring every meal is memorable.

Our ideal Head Chef brings:
- 5+ years of food and beverage management experience and a excellent grasp of kitchen operations
- 2+ years in a supervisory role, with a passion for mentoring and team development
- Hands-on experience working in remote or resource-limited environments required
- Experience in hotel or resort environments is a strong asset
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and a commitment to environmental stewardship
