Our client, Quester Tangent, has an opportunity for a Director of Finance with strong ERP experience to join their talented, multidisciplinary team in Victoria, BC. As a strategic partner and key member of the senior leadership team you will report to the CEO and oversee all aspects of the company’s finances while providing critical input into the organization’s daily operations, as well as their short-term and long-term corporate planning.

What could your day as Director of Finance hold?
As the Director of Finance:
- Overseeing all accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, reporting, and planning.
- Directing accounts payable, payroll processing, and other administrative functions.
- Overseeing the company’s ERP system and supporting ERP transaction optimization.
- Managing employee benefits plans and corporate insurance policies.
- Cultivating strong relationships with financial institutions, external accountants, benefits brokers, and insurance providers.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team.
As a member of the Senior Management Team:
- Participating in weekly management stand-ups and Finance Committee meetings.
- Contributing to monthly on-site and off-site management meetings and Change Management meetings and contributing to quarterly Senior Management strategy sessions.
- Engaging in annual business planning and preparations for the Board of Directors AGM.
As Chair of the Finance Committee:
- Setting meeting cadence, agendas, and schedules and maintaining meeting minutes and documentation.
- Providing budget oversight, analysis, and reporting for projects, capital expenditures, and operational expenses.

Our ideal Director of Finance brings:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
- CPA designation with 10+ years post-designation experience (required).
- 10+ years ERP systems and financial software experience (required).
- Experience in manufacturing industry operations and business process management.
- Proficiency in USD and international financial management.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring finance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity in financial reporting and compliance
