Our client, Highbury Asset Management has an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their supportive team in Victoria, BC. Highbury Asset Management provides executive management, finance and administrative services for a diverse portfolio of retail operations, real estate investments, and supporting services across Southern Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island. Their business blends accounting, management, and innovative problem-solving.
Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll Administrator we are seeking will fully utilize their Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification and 3+ years of payroll experience to oversee the payroll function and execution of several bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for their 300+ employees in diverse sectors.

Your day may include:
- Processing bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and off cycle payrolls.
- Processing and reviewing annual tax slips and summaries (T4, T4A, T2200).
- Processing extended health benefits, group RRSP administration, WCB and EHT returns.
- Identifying, proposing, and implementing improvements to payroll process and controls.
- Reconciling wage reports to period and year-end financial results.
- Calculating and reporting payroll related accruals for period and year-end financials.
- Updating various reports used for management purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Are you our ideal Payroll Administrator?
- A Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) as certified by the National Payroll Institute.
- Brings 3+ years of payroll administration experience in BC.
- Tech-savvy with a passion for using technology to drive efficiency and accuracy, strong Excel skills, and proficiency in ADP for payroll and Sage 50 for accounting.
- A problem solver who loves a challenge, takes initiative, and brings solutions to the table.
- A team player who thrives in collaborative, friendly environments and brings a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
