What your day as General Manager at Urban Grocer may include:

• Lead the store’s daily operations with accountability for financial performance, sales growth, and customer-focused initiatives.
• Coach and develop department managers to achieve excellence in The 5 Fs – Friendly, Full, Faced, Fresh, and Fabulous.
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high standards in across all areas.
• Participate in budgeting and achieve labour, cost control, and efficiency targets.
• Building and maintaining strong supplier, team member, customer and community relationships that align with Urban Grocer’s values.
• Implementing marketing initiatives, community engagement, and social media plans to strengthen Urban Grocer’s local reputation.
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

• A strong, accountable leader with 5+ years of progressive grocery or retail management experience, ideally including fresh departments.
• A proven ability to drive revenue, improve operational performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• A coach and mentor who develops leadership teams to perform at their best while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting, and analyzing operational performance to make informed decisions.
• Proficient with MS Office, point-of-sale systems, and adaptable to new tools.
• Excited to build relationships in a vibrant, community-focused store where people love to shop.
