Our client, Quester Tangent, has a new opportunity for a Director of Business Analysis to join their talented, multidisciplinary team in Victoria, BC. As a strategic partner and key member of the senior leadership team reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all business processes and quality assurance for the company. Proven change management experience, business acumen, excellent communication and relationship building skills, and the ability to collaborate will be essential to the success of this role.

What could your day as Director of Business Analysis hold?

  • Ensuring that business processes are established, implemented, maintained and confirmed during internal, external and supplier audits.
  • Ensuring that processes are efficient, limiting employee frustration and non-conformances (errors).
  • Ensuring that changes are performed using the company’s Change Management and Change Introduction processes.
  • Chairing the Change Management Committee including scheduling of monthly meetings, submission of change management reporting for the committees’ review and consideration, and management of meeting minutes.
  • Proactively driving change by primarily utilizing departments resources and secondarily coordinating support from other departments as required.
  • Reporting on the performance of the quality and business system processes to Management for review.
  • Communicating with customers and with external agencies (including the ISO9001 Registrar) on matters relating to business processes.
  • Maintaining the Master List of business process documents.
  • Ensuring that appropriate training is provided to cover newly created or updated policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Controlling the corrective/preventive action process.

Our ideal Director of Business Analysis brings:

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
  • 15+ years of experience in Business Analyst roles (required).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a design and/or manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities that will help you thrive in the role:

  • Leadership and Influence: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering collaboration and driving alignment across departments.
  • Quality Assurance Expertise: Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining QA systems with a clear understanding of their impact on business processes.
  • Change Management Skills: Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives, addressing resistance, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies that align with organizational goals.
