Your day as Assistant Produce Manager or Assistant Grocery Manager may include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
  • Assisting in training, coaching, and supporting team members to achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals.
  • Participating in ordering, receiving, pricing, and merchandising to meet department objectives.
  • Maintaining exceptional product quality and freshness, particularly in the produce department, through regular rotation, accurate displays, and proactive waste reduction.
  • Supporting inventory counts and helping to identify opportunities for improved efficiency or cross-merchandising.
  • Leading by example to ensure a positive, reliable, and productive work environment.
  • Collaborating with the department manager to plan, prioritize, and meet departmental targets.

Are you the next Assistant Department Manager we are seeking?

  • Minimum one year of grocery or retail experience, and prior leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Organized, reliable, and accountable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within the grocery industry.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet in a busy environment.
